Eyebrow Threading
Threading is an ancient method of hair removal originating in the Eastern world. In more recent times it has gained popularity in Western countries.
We use a pure, thin, twisted cotton thread, which is rolled over untidy hairlines, eyebrows, upper lip, chin and other areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in amazingly groomed eyebrows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is threading ?
A: Threading is a hair removal technique that is the most precise way to remove unwanted facial hair. Threading is not only used on the eyebrows but also on the upper lip, chin, side burns or any area of the face. This technique allows you to take a line of hair out at a time and therefore creates a more defined shape for eyebrows. Many cosmetologists, makeup artists and aestheticians are choosing this method of hair removal for their clients because it can be less painful, more precise and last longer than waxing.
Q: How does it work ?
A: Thread with an antibacterial coating is used for eyebrow and facial threading. The thread is looped in a way that allows the therapist to capture the hairs and pull hairs out from the root.
Q: How long does it take ?
A: It can take anywhere from 10 – 40 minutes depending on how much area of the face is being threaded. If it’s your first time, a 5 minute consultation is required.
Q: Do customers experience redness or swelling?
A: Some people do experience slight redness or swelling. If redness or swelling does occur, it is generally gone within 30 mins. A soothing gel is applied after the treatment to reduce the redness. It’s not that common but some people may experience tiny spots which will go within a matter of days.
Q: Can men have their eyebrows and face threaded?
A: Threading is becoming ever more popular for men nowadays, as they aim to get rid of their uni-brow, or just want to tame them. We do thread the top end of the cheeks and forehead for men. However, we wouldn’t advise on threading the upper lip or beard area. Anyone from any background is welcome; we do not judge or close our doors to anyone.
Q: Threading Tip
A: Stop tweezing your eyebrows to a point of no return! Those of you that are still young who are tweezing their eyebrows to a very thin line, or a particular odd shape, PLEASE STOP. Within a matter of a few years, growth will completely stop or re-growth will be sporadic. , “We have many clients whose eyebrows we work on, who have incorrectly tweezed or waxed away their eyebrows over the years. All we can do for them is shape what’s left, show how to pencil in the eyebrows correctly, or advise them to have semi-permanent make up. So with a combination of eyebrow threading and the semi-permanent makeup, the client has some form of eyebrows.
Remember it’s the eyebrows that frame your face and integral to the overall good looks of an individual.
