Facials

Facials use everything from oils, creams, gels and serums to electric currents, oxygen jets and massage to give you cleaner, healthier, brighter skin. As Mae West said, "You are never too old to look younger." There are so many brands and styles of facial available, and each spa and each brand describes them in a different way.

A facial, cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin to promote clear, well-hydrated skin. A facial is the second most popular spa treatment after massage.

A facial should be carried out every 28 days as this is the length of time it takes for your skin to renew itself allowing us to get rid of the dead skin cells and nourish the fresh ones.

Frequently asked Questions

Q: How often should I have a facial?

A: We recommend having a facial every 28 days, as this is the amount of time it takes for your skin to regenerate itself naturally. Its refreshing, re-energising and relaxing and fantastic way to pamper yourself.

Q: What are the benefits of a facial?

A: Smoother softer skin, a clearer complexion, and overall brightness, just to name a few. All facials are custom to your skin type. The hour consists of: a cleanse, skin analysis, an exfoliation, a dream-like massage of the face, neck and shoulders, followed by a combination of masks, serums, and moisturizers.

Q: What is the difference between a facial and a mini facial?

A: The two main differences are time, and length of massage. A facial is an hour while the mini facial is a ½ hour. During the mini facial the amount of time dedicated to the massage has to be cut short to fit all the other steps in.

Q: I have very sensitive skin can I still have a facial?

A: At our salon we have products specially designed for sensitive skin right down to the massage oil so this is not a worry for us, your therapist will do a skin analysis at your treatment and should be able to offer advise to help the condition.

Q: What daily skin routine should I be using?

A: Each day, in the morning and before you go to bed, you should be cleansing, toning and moisturising, exfoliating once a week and using a mask to suit your skin type at least every 2 weeks. The cleaner you keep your skin the easier it can breathe and accept nutrients giving younger looking, glowing healthy skin.
